Misplaced attention: the industry focuses on intelligence, but consumers pay for environmental protection

01 Industry Myth: Silent Rise of Environmental Protection Demands under the Intelligent Wave

When sanitary ware enterprises regard "intelligence" as the only trump card for high-end transformation, a silent revolution has been launched on the consumer side.

Driving new energy vehicles, shopping for second-hand goods, and choosing small portions of food-green consumption is becoming the "favorite" of young groups. More than half of young consumers have clearly stated that they are willing to pay for sustainable products and frequently trade on second-hand platforms.

This trend has penetrated into the home furnishing field:

More than 90% of users prioritize "antibacterial materials" when purchasing toilets.

In the selection of sanitary ware products, Generation Z consumers place "health" and "environmental protection" on an equal footing with intelligence.

Market signals are misinterpreted. According to an industry report, only 12% of the R&D budget of leading sanitary ware enterprises is used for environmentally friendly materials and water-saving technologies, while the development of intelligent functions accounts for more than 60%. While companies are keen on adding high-tech functions such as urine tests and light-sensing flip covers, consumers are asking: "Do ceramic raw materials contain radioactive substances?" "Can the valve core really prevent water leakage?"

This misalignment of supply and demand exposes the industry's one-sided understanding of "health" - truly healthy bathrooms start with harmless materials and resource conservation, rather than post-event monitoring.

02 Cognitive correction: How to transform environmental protection from a concept into a technical parameter

The core obstacle to green consumption lies in the "trust barrier".
A study by Shandong University of Finance and Economics pointed out that consumers generally doubt the true "green content" of products, and corporate "greenwashing" behavior further weakens market confidence. The solution lies in transforming abstract environmental protection commitments into quantifiable and verifiable technical parameters.

(1) Low-carbon material technology: a dual revolution of recycling and harmlessness
Frontier companies are reconstructing the environmental protection genes of products through material innovation:

Recycled material cycle: Arrow Bathroom completed photovoltaic transformation in 10 major production bases, and the Dezhou factory passed the green certification, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by more than 900 tons per year.

Low VOC coating technology: Xijian bathroom cabinets use "cold jadeite rock slab countertops" with a Mohs hardness of 7, eliminating the release of formaldehyde from traditional coatings.

Clean energy substitution: 15 ceramic factories in Yangcheng Jianci Park completed "coal to gas", reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 900,000 tons per year, while reducing roller production costs by 30%.
